Braided Yeast Bread

 

Ingredients

500g Flour
2 Tsp Sugar
60g Butter (vegan)
20g Yeast
350ml Milk
1,5 Tsp salt
1 Egg

 

 

Prepare

♥ Melt 20g yeast in hot water

♥ Mix it with 350ml milk, 1,5 Tsp salt, 60g butter & 2 Tsp sugar

♥ Slowly add 500g flour and knead into a smooth dough

♥ Cover the dough with a wet towel and wait at least two hours 

♥ The dough should rise and double in size

 

 

Cook

♥ Braid the dough 

♥ Cover it with a wet towel and let it rise again for at least one hour

♥ Whisk 1 egg & glaze the braid

♥ Bake at 220 °C for 35-45 mins
